THE STREET LIFE

We are black naggers On the street full of beggars Life is hard, making most of us waggers Don’t forget most of us are twiggers So we hit the street, so our babies will feed A day sick, the household bleeds So we struggle with all kinds of breeds A few noble ones, the rest full of greed. At sunset, we rush home with our little vittle Though not enough, it's quite a mantle We would watch our babies guttle A sight that sometimes makes us tootle. We do this so our children won’t end up as street urchins Though sometimes we wished to be consumed in our sleep by griffins, Click here We will never give up, even in our pains For our children see us as paladins. THE DAY YOU LIED

(The Beginning of the End)

All was rosy

All was cozy

Everything was picture-perfect

The vibe, the chemistry, was all intact

Then there was this insincerity I noticed

You went off and contradicted yourself so many times

I asked, what’s wronged?

But you denied and said all was fine.

You lied that day

I noticed the prevaricates

I played dump just to make you come out clean

Because I loved you.

You took my calmness as an opportunity to continue your lies

You continued to palter and palter

All attempt to make you say the truth was futile.

The day you lied, I lost the love I have for you

The day you lied, I begun to rewrite the love chapters of the life book

The day you lied, you ruin my heart.

The day you lied, I felt I trusted the wrong person with my love

The day you lied, I was emptied of happiness

And from that day, when you talk, I listen

But I never remembered what you say when we part ways

I was with you but I wasn’t there.

The day you lied, I knew it was all over

You lied and that kept me away

Sorry but we can’t continue on lies

Because you lied once and I’m gonna think everything you will say is a lie

The day you lied, everything ended.
