MADAM VICTORIA ACHEAMPONG
As days swelled into weeks
Weeks bursting into months,
We were still hoping the news wasn't true
But at the passing of each second we became more convinced that your cold temperature has become permanent.
Now you're somewhere up there in a glorious million miles pass these clouds
The sunshine of our lives now turns to be a distant weather.
We have grieved and now we are still grieving
Our handkerchiefs are soaked with saturated tears
Our hands are trembling with intense force,
And we fear if we can wave you a goodbye.
I eulogized you in my previous piece but you refused to say thank you
You've given me reason that you are gone forever
My questions in the eulogy still sits on the table unanswered
It appears you've gone on a sort of heavenly vacation
Or is it that too many calls are jamming your phone?
Now we've come to realize that you are gone for good
You've opened a new chapter of our life;
To leave without your presence
To go about without your caution
To survive without your advise
And more painfully than ever, to live the rest of our lives without you in the picture.
My ink has refused to scribe continuously in pain
So I end here, repeating my previous words:
"Auntie, your memories shall continue to live with us
We shall not forget to remember you
We shall strive to immortalize your humility and your ceaseless, selfless and workable advice."
"May our Good Lord keep you safe in his bosom
May we meet at the bright end oneday."
"Our today started without you
May our tomorrow start with you.
Fare thee well Auntie"
Sadly, the gate of glory in a million miles pass these clouds do not come with a P.O. BOX.
We would have mailed you: "WE LOVE YOU"
Rest In Perfect Peace
Hearts of Praise
