WHERE DID THE BLACK GO WRONG?
A question to the ancestors and the gods I guess.
A question only time will answer.
From slavery to the exploitation of our resources, blacks were at the receiving end.
The efforts of Kwame Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela and their earlier counterparts, successfully brought us from the shackles of our colonial master’s claws.
We stood aloof and allowed greed to overtake our very foundational building element of our existence; UNITY.
So we desperately removed our competent leaders through coup de tats.
We adopted democracy and now we are being robbed in broad-day light with pens coupled with papers and later they will deceivingly convince us with their sugar-coated words.
And then sooner or later, we would form long zigzag queues under the scorching sun to give them another mandate to continue to rob us.
Right before our naked eyes Muammar Al-Gaddafi was recklessly killed and the last surviving dictator left the shores of the desert he turned into fortress of wealth some nine years ago.
We have allowed foreign voices to infiltrate our minds and greed to override our good consciences.
Where did the African continent go wrong?
It was Geroge Floyd, a black American, who was murdered and the popular #BlackLivesMatter emanated.
We joined in solidarity to protest for justice.
What has happened when we that called for #BlackLivesMatter are now killing ourselves?
The lives doesn’t matter anymore?
A perfect example of OUTSIDE GENTILITY, HOME CRY.
A perfect evidence of PREACHING VIRTUES and PRACTICING VICES.
Our hypocritical nature has be laid bare before the prying eyes of the westerners who always envy our wealth.
Now their words will instigate the citizens against government and it will turn the government heart cold against the citizens.
There, they would get the chance to control our wealth.
Right before us, they did it to Libya and its happening slowly.
We pray it doesn’t go that way.
#ENDSARSNOW and our political leaders and organizations have suddenly lost their voices and their inks dried up.
What my co-youth are asking for is to end police brutality.
So they took to the streets to have a peaceful demonstration.
Some in the comfort of their homes, others at the restaurants and work places.
Some just argument with police officials.
But then, theirs lives were ended abruptly and many injured.
What happened to #BackLivesMatter?
Change, when it is denied or too long delayed, violence will break here and there, not because the people willed for it but it is as a result of their accumulated grievances.
Enough is enough.
The menacing outcry of the recent brutality must end.
The very aim that necessitated the establishment of SARS has become counterproductive due to it alarming human rights violations caused by the same SARS such as extrajudicial execution, looting, maiming, rape and murder, torture to mention but a few.
We do not need a prophet to tell us to #EndSARSNow.
“We believe that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We as Africans are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affect one directly, affects all indirectly so we are with you.” – RAISED Afena-Atta Rudolf
As it is said in one local dialect that “s3 3ka nantini a, na aka kotodwe”. (when it affects the heel, it affects the kneel as well)
RIP to all gone souls.
They were wrapped in their national flag
As they have sworn to defend their country
But they well felled by the bullets of a cursed rifle
And have departed earth sooner than expected
Dreams of a better tomorrow cut short by the massacre
They have left a vacuum in the heart of the family
Only time will fill the gap created
And if without a surviving breed,
Their legacies will soon fade.
Go well gallant comrades.
You shall never be forgotten.
All persons found guilty to have shared in this atrocities must be brought to book and the desirable punishment meted out to them.
Africa is bleeding

Till when?
Where did the black go wrong?
Let us continue to stand in solidarity and in prayers with our friends from the continent,
Trusting that this too shall pass.
Pray and do not post pictures alone.
As Kwame Nkrumah said and I pluralize it “we are not Africans because we were born in Africa but we are Africans because Africa is born in us.”
Pray for Grace for we do not know the answer to the question “Where Did The Black Go Wrong.”

ReplyDeleteIndeed solidarity is the voice of Unity. Where Do We Go Wrong As Africans ? When we speak peace they take it for war, disrespect, disloyalty; for their minds ( our laders ) had been tuned to see everything African as evil even the Evangelicals.
