THE STREET LIFE

We are black naggers On the street full of beggars Life is hard, making most of us waggers Don’t forget most of us are twiggers So we hit the street, so our babies will feed A day sick, the household bleeds So we struggle with all kinds of breeds A few noble ones, the rest full of greed. At sunset, we rush home with our little vittle Though not enough, it's quite a mantle We would watch our babies guttle A sight that sometimes makes us tootle. We do this so our children won’t end up as street urchins Though sometimes we wished to be consumed in our sleep by griffins, Click here We will never give up, even in our pains For our children see us as paladins. OH MERCY(A Short Prayer)

Oh God of the heavens,
Show us mercy upon us in our havens.

Let not this deadly COVID 19 harm us.
For it has already humbled lots of us.

We are but vulnerable
Do not let the wish of corona be possible.

Oh mercy upon us through the valley of the shadow of this pandemic;
With mercy, we shall come out still energetic.

Oh mercy, our only hope in fighting this race.
Though some of us are frighten in this race,
Let you mercy continue to grace us.

Oh mercy from above, rest on the abode of all
front-liners
As you continue to dwell in the homestead of we the back-liners.

Oh God the merciful, out of nowhere
Let the cure come from somewhere.

Oh God the merciful, forgive us our sins and transgressions
And put us on the path of unmerited progressions.

Oh Lord, oh God, oh mercy
Thank you for your mercies.
Amen.
